Our projects

  • Fibre and Wireless (F&W Networks) deploys Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and 5G radio systems in mid-size cities and rural areas in the UK to complement the low deployment of national operators.

  • Neither the incumbent infrastructure provider, OpenReach, nor other competitors are deploying FTTP in F&W Networks’ or its targeted areas and national operators have no fibre presence, as they are mainly investing in large cities.

  • This translates into a unique business opportunity to cover this underserved market segment outside big cities by offering High Speed Internet (HSI) Access and mobile services by means of FTTP and fixed radio systems.

  • F&W Networks is selling to customers through its subsidiary Internet Service Provider (HeyBroadband) which will deliver the product offering using marketing strategies as well as giving all customers a user friendly experience based on customer service.

  • The strategy has proven to be successful in the UK, and also in other markets, such as Spain, where the team has successfully implemented an identical project, which has now reached maturity and where different exit options are being considered.

OUR SUBSIDIARY

The strategy has proven to be successful in the UK, and also in other markets, such as Spain, where the team has successfully implemented an identical project, which has now reached its maturity state and where different exit options are being considered.

  • Digital Infrastructure deploys Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and 5G radio systems in cities in the UK to complement the fibre rollouts of national operators. This will be done using Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA).

Digital Infrastructure uses OpenReach ducts and poles to reduce deployment costs. The Digital Infrastructure structure is focused on the delivery of the network and follows a very lean organizational model. The approach is to outsource most of the activities to companies controlled by the management team, reducing OPEX and allowing a very efficient entry point with minimum setup costs and securing the supply chain, which is critical now in the UK to efficiently deliver fibre infrastructure.

Although Digital Infrastructure will sell to final customers, it has an open access approach and will sign wholesale agreements with other ISPs in order to maximize the use of the network. The management team understands that to be successful, a fibre player must combine its own customers with wholesale deals that increase the take-up rate of the fibre infrastructure. This approach also protects the asset and minimizes the risk of being overbuilt.

  • FibreHub aims to be a platform that interconnects ISPs and fibre infrastructure providers in order to maximize revenues for the first and take-up rates for the second.

FibreHub is positioned as the ideal platform that bridges the gap between alternative full fibre networks and large ISPs that are seeking a single point of contact to interconnect their OSS/BSS and transport networks.

FibreHub has a wholesale OSS/BSS platform compatible with Openreach commercial API in order to reduce development costs for any ISP interested in selling services on the fibre infrastructure network that FibreHub will interconnect.
